This sort of fanaticism drives my hubby insane! He cannot understand why I want to read (and re-read) all these books, nor why I want to actually keep them. Neither does most of my family. (Yes, already I need to purchase another bookcase! Yes, I’ve purchased books without his knowledge, conveniently forgetting to tell him. Shhhh! *grin*)

Anyhow, ImagineDome is my obsessive-compulsive fantasy fiction blog. I focus on fantasy series that have been my favorites throughout the year (to date most are women authors, though I’m slowly getting around to the men). I also do book reviews–and on these I’ll be totally honest with both kudos and downers (expect occasional crankiness, bitchiness, wackiness, and brutal honesty).

More on the personal side–I’ll share that I was born in Puerto Rico, but grew up an East Coaster in the US. I come from a big family, and have two grown children who are really cool kids. *grin* I’m married to a Leo which keeps me on my Aquarius toes. Along with my hubby, I share my abode with a disgustingly wenchy, prissy cat by the name of Sapphire who has a tendency to attack feet and ankles. {I think she’s a Leo, too! *wink*}

Growing up I was a nerdy bookworm (including the classics, even going through a phase where I devoured trashy romance novels *blech*), with a passion for music as well (new age, ambient, classic and alternative rock, classical). Those interests have stayed with me, along with a plethora of other interests in such things as astronomy, crafts, comparative spirituality, and pc/techie things (I’ve been a nethead geek and designer since ‘93). I’m the only woman playing in a private Yahoo Fantasy Football Pick’Em League that is full of men. {I didn’t do too shabby last year coming in 5th out of 13 men!} Go Colts!!

I’m the proverbial “Jane of All Trades” having been a secretary, maid, bank teller, network planning analyst, paint department supervisor, event planner, and more. Not to mention being chauffeur, tutor, psychiatrist, sage, diaper-changer, boo-boo fixer, trainer, bodyguard, policewoman, lawgiver, life-guide, cook, and housekeeper to not only my kids, but my two youngest brothers whom I helped raise.

I’m also a student of comparative religions, having studied A Course in Miracles, Conversations With God, Celtic Shamanism, Esoteric Christianity, Native American traditions, Qabalah, Tarot, and Astrology.

Oh yeah, I’m currently working on a fantasy series (doh! go figure, right? *wink*) and a contemporary novel. Now and then I do spit out a new poem.
