Michelle West

Michelle WestSince the early 1990′s, Michelle West has been writing fantasy novels and short stories. She was born in 1963 and is Japanese-Canadian.

Other names she has published under are Michelle Sagara (her legal name) and Michelle Sagara West. West is her husband’s last name.

Michelle currently lives in Toronto and works part-time at Bakka-Phoenix SF/F lit specialty store.

The first book of a new series set in the same universe as the Sun Sword series is The Hidden City. City of Night (the second installment) comes out in early 2010, and she’s now writing House Name (the third book).

Unsurprisingly, one of her lifelong passions is reading.
